Jennifer Holliday is from the Broadway stage. Her professional career started as a teenager. The stage exagerates everything, makeup, clothing, facial expression and vocal intonations. Holliday is just a product of her past experiences. To be in front of an audience puts her in her “stage” persona where she “acts” because that’s how she was taught. When you grow up, you’ll realize that great artists always deserve recognition and you’ll learn to appreciate their instrument and use of it.

only a white singer with the least talent in vocal ability can win AI. Theres just no way if PP was anything but white would have the won the contest no way, yet again the best vocalist didnt win because of race. Im pretty sure if jessica was white she would have won by it by a mile, remember she was only in the top 2 cos she was saved by the judges.

I think if anything, it had to do with gender, not race. But in any case, I feel Elise would have been a better choice to be in the top 2 instead of Jessica. She was a far more enjoyable performer to listen to and watch. Checkout “Elise Testone -Al Green – Let’s Stay Together – Studio Version – American Idol 11″ . Best version of that song Ive ever heard.

1st week, PP: 24,000 Digital downloads. Jessica Sanchez: 4,000 Digital Downloads. What do you think about that? Not bad for someone who you think isn’t on the AI level standard, you think? Do the math. PP sold 6X as many downloads as Jessica.

In the 1st week, Phillip had 24,000 digital downloads to Jessica’s 4,000. So it seems the majority feel the same way about today’s mainstream.
