People are always looking for ways to earn fast money, specially on the Internet, where dreams of overnight riches are born with the click of a mouse. Is it possible to make a quick buck with little more than your computer and an Internet connection?

Yes and no.

Yes you can make easy money on the Internet, although “fast” hinges on what you consider an acceptable time frame. Want to make ,000,000 overnight? It’s possible. You’ll need a 00 product, a huge mailing list and an army of affiliates. Examples that come to mind are John Reese, Frank Kern, and Stompernet.

As a rule, million-dollar product launches are all about Internet Marketing courses, where the dreams of making big money are touted with a vengeance. Information that is readily available for free elsewhere is disguised as “personal wisdom” and outlined in microscopic detail.

But what if you’re a person without a huge mailing list or a gaggle of affiliates willing to promote your offerings?

For most of us, our options for making fast money on the Internet are three:

1. Develop a reasonably-priced product and offer it on Clickbank, where it can be promoted by affiliates.

2. Become an affiliate and promote someone else’s product(s)– ebooks or hard goods, your choice.

3. Network marketing.

For all three choices, the methods for earning money are identical.

Pay-per-click advertising will guarantee traffic to whatever website or landing page you are using to promote a product. Pay-per-click advertising, however, is not the set-and-forget solution that many claim. Your daily advertising budget must be monitored closely or you will suffer losses. Your ads’ conversion rate is of paramount importance.

The second option for financial gain involves social media marketing, through websites like MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the myriad of social bookmarking websites that are popular on the Internet.

As a rule, you can expect to start making sales and seeing profits within a month, assuming you don’t let paid advertising get the best of you.
