@mlking213 You must not have seen very many ‘gay’ movies then, because this movie really isn’t that “Gay”. It’s a love story which just happens to be about two men, Not a “gay” love story.

The difference between this and Carrey’s other comedic films has nothing to do with sexuality. In most of Carrey’s ventures, he seems like he’s trying to get a laugh out of every line. Like a very good class clown. Here, he’s playing a character and just happens to be using his comedic ability sometimes to get there – and his dramatic talents too. What results is a very genuine performance from him and Ewan that is self-depricating and funny only when it needs to be.
